Answer pre-sales questions for your software, any time

Someone on your pricing page at 2am wants to know if you integrate with Slack, whether they need a card for the trial, and where data is stored. If the answer takes until morning, they may sign up somewhere else.

The questions that decide a sign-up

  • Is there a free plan or trial, and do I need a card?
  • Does it integrate with the tools I use?
  • Where is my data stored, and are you GDPR compliant?
  • Can I cancel any time?
  • How is it different from the alternatives?
  • Is there an API?

These are usually answered somewhere in your docs, pricing page or FAQ, just not in one place, and not in the words the visitor uses.

Build the agent from what you already have

Give it your website, pricing page, docs or help centre, and your security page. Add a short note for anything that is only in the team's heads, like "No Android app yet; no date."

Saying clearly what you don't do is as valuable as what you do. A visitor who learns there is no Slack integration in ten seconds has been helped, not lost.

Keep support and sales where they belong

Billing problems for a specific account, bug reports and enterprise quotes should reach a person. Set them as topics the agent hands over with the visitor's email, so a "can we get 200 seats?" lands in your inbox.

Put it on the pages where people decide

Add the chat widget to your pricing page and docs, and link it from your Product Hunt or marketplace listing. Read what people ask: the unanswered questions are a free list of what to add to your docs, or to build.

Questions

Is this a replacement for a support desk?

No. It answers pre-sales and how-it-works questions from your docs, and hands account-specific problems to your team.

Will it overpromise?

It answers only from the material you approved and says when something isn't covered. Test it with "Does it do X?" for features you don't have before going live.

Can AI assistants comparing tools use it?

Yes. Each agent has an llms.txt page and a one-link way to ask, so an assistant researching tools for a buyer can question it directly.
