How to make an interactive CV recruiters can question

Recruiters read a CV in seconds and then have questions. "Has she managed people?" "Fit for this role?" "Notice period?" An AI agent on your CV answers those straight away, from what you approved, and keeps salary talk for you.

What an AI CV agent is

It is a page with your name and a chat box. A recruiter, hiring manager or their own AI assistant asks a question, and the agent answers from your CV, your LinkedIn profile and anything else you added. Each answer says where it came from.

What to give it

  • Your CV, as a PDF.
  • Your LinkedIn profile: on LinkedIn, go to your profile, More, Save to PDF.
  • A few lines in your own words: notice period, where you will work, languages, what kind of role you want.
  • Optional: a portfolio, case studies or a reference letter.

Results are what recruiters ask about most. If your CV says "improved conversion", add the number and the period, and say whether it was measured or estimated.

What to keep for yourself

Salary, other offers and why you are leaving are conversations, not facts. Set those as topics the agent hands to you, so the recruiter is asked to contact you instead.

Test it like a recruiter would

Ask it the hard questions: "What is your biggest weakness?", "Why the gap in 2023?", "Are you a fit for this job description?" (paste one in). Then ask something it can't know and check it says so instead of inventing an answer.

Where to put the link

  • The top of your CV, next to your email.
  • Your LinkedIn Featured section and About.
  • Your email signature and job applications.
  • A QR code on a printed CV for job fairs.

Questions

Will recruiters actually use it?

Some will, especially for roles with many applicants or across time zones. It also helps you stand out: few candidates have one.

Is it allowed to use my LinkedIn data?

Yes. You download your own LinkedIn PDF and upload it. Nothing is scraped.

Can it apply for jobs for me?

No. It answers questions about you. Applying is still up to you.
